As the Managing Director of Women’s Health at Springboard Enterprises, a non-profit focused on helping women entrepreneurs scale high-growth startups, Jennifer leads Springboard’s efforts in the vertical of women’s health innovation. Jennifer is also the Co-Founder of Freeze Health, an informational platform helping women decide if, when and where to seek fertility treatments, including egg freezing and IVF.

- Tell us a bit more about yourself, your background and what you’re doing now.
I originally came from Korea. As an undergraduate student, I studied Educational Psychology since my mom believed the best job for a woman is a teacher. However, I found that I was more interested in international business through my internship at Mitsubishi Corporation. In Mitsubishi, I developed my desire to experience a bigger world. So I came to the United States.
Ever since I came to the US, I have had amazing experiences over 10 years in diverse startups and public companies in Medtech, Biotech, and High Tech industries. I developed plans for a new pipeline product launch, growth & exit strategies, and strategic restructuring projects for global operations.
Currently, I’m wrapping up my MBA journey at the Fuqua School of Business concentrated in health sector management and identifying the best way to contribute to the growth of innovative healthcare technologies. - How did you get involved with digital health?
Living in the middle of the SF Bay Area, it feels so natural to develop my genuine interest in Digital Health. Probably, it would be one of the most exciting times to witness the challenges to the health care sectors from high tech. If we can improve the lives of the current and potential patients and caregivers with the technologies, I want to take a role to ensure the best solutions can be reached to those in need.
- Tell us about where you come from and some of the health and technology innovation that’s happening there.
As I mentioned above, I originally came from South Korea, and currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, close to Stanford University. I studied Educational Psychology at Seoul Women’s University in South Korea, and currently an MBA candidate at Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business. Here, I’m currently working on my research about the impact on health care evolution by AI/MS technologies
- What are some of your top interests and what should people contact you about?
I’m interested in how human behavior will be affected by the disrupting technologies in the next generation as well as senior communities. I am hoping that those technologies improve significantly on human lives by prevention, diagnosis, product development, and so on. On the other hand, we should expect some growth pains to implement those technologies in the real world. For example, how society can address an issue like gender equality using AI technologies. How health policy is going to evolve to embrace innovative technologies. I think it would be meaningful to discuss the diverse perspectives and refine the technologies for the benefit of people
